UM Rodeo Team Saddles Up for the Cowboy Ball
The University of Montana Rodeo Team gears up for its 22nd annual Cowboy Ball scholarship fundraiser after finishing its 50th fall season. Reporter Kyle Schmauch talked to Duston Stephens, JoLee Pemberton, and head coach Kory Mytty about the benefits of the money generated from the event. Stephens is a Missoula College senior who competes in steer wrestling, calf roping, and team roping with his horse Sister. Pemberton is a UM freshman who competes in barrel racing and team roping with her horse Gunner.
Mytty and his wife own and manage the Lolo Peak Arena, where the Cowboy Ball will take place on October 12.
